How to find my meditation practice?

There is a growing awareness that to be of healthy body and sound mind one also needs to take care of the spiritual side with a daily practice of something that is relaxing and helps to bring the mind back to the present moment. And yes, there are so many options available now and so many teachers and gurus and self help ideologies, religions and so on. So, something for each and every individual that is seeking for certain.

But what does it take to find what really resonates with you?

One who seeks will find. A heart´s desire to connect with the inner Truth will not go unnoticed. And just like with anything else the more that you have direct experiences of different possibilities the more you will attune to what it is that calls for you. As long as you don’t quit before you hear the resonance that matches your heart.

Perhaps you are attracted to a teacher that can eloquently speak of the truth and shows a good example of living it. That is a state of progress. Or perhaps you are one that desires to know the truth directly within your own experience. That is also a state of progress and one that the Ishayas have a very specific gift to give to.

The Art of Ascension is not a Guru driven Teaching nor does it tell you how to live your life. If you search for a practice that is aligning you with the natural upward rising currents of expanding consciousness, a practice that is easy to do and that can be done at all times both in eyes closed meditative practice and eyes open practice, then you may be at the door of something very powerful.

I personally dabbled in a number of different practices before I learned to Ascend. They worked to a degree, but the common thread for me in all of them was a sense of disappointment. A feeling that the practice took me just part of the way, but not really where I felt the potential was the greatest. That was just an inner intuitive experience at the time. The disappointments kept me going though and through them I kept refining what it was that I was looking for. Eventually when I found the books by MSI about Ascension I felt the resonance of something deep inside.

That was the sound of my heart resonating with the offer from the Ishayas. This may sound lofty and out there, but it was really just a simple recognition of something that was real and each step I took towards the direct experience and understanding strengthened my resolve and sense of having found exactly what I had been looking for.

Each of us have a very unique path in life and the way that we come to the spiritual practice that we can call our own varies greatly. Perhaps what is here in this text is just a simple nudge to keep going until you find something that resonates with your being. And then stick to it. There is no point in trying to do five different things at the same time. Better to find one that works and stick to it. That is the surest way to reach the goal that you have set for this life.

Life without pain?

Pain is a challenging companion especially if it has come to stay. Chronic pain changes the body and even the physical structure of the brain which can be detected in the brain scans. Pain is an experience that involves the entire brain. In comparison most other experiences affect only a part of the brain.  Chronic pain changes the personality and affects the thinking and attitudes that one has. In that pool of darkness one certainly wishes to find a solution or a path to life without pain.

Mahararishi Mahesh Yogi has famously said that “people need meditation not medication”. While that may sound radical in this world where it seems that most people are on some kind of medication, it still holds a very valid truth. A lot of what we use medication for is the result of lack of meditation or inwardness in life. The desire to seek for remedies from the outside is far greater than any notion of using the inherent healing abilities that every Body has.

This is not to say that medication is bad or that it should not be used. There is balance to everything. The question is more of what we focus on because that has the tendency to grow.

Can one Ascend pain? Is it a realistic remedy and not just a pipe dream or false hope? And what does it mean?

Fear and sense of uncertainty increase the intensity of pain and pushes us deeper into a place of feeling a victim to circumstances with little ability to affect it meaningfully. This is entirely in the realm of inner life, the mind and where we place the focus of our awareness. And this is where the true transformative power lies.

The challenge is that it does not always translate into changing our experience in the body or dissolve the experience of pain. The results can be, but often are not, felt at the surface level. Opening up to a level of reality that is far beyond the victim consciousness widens the perspective and offers the soothing reality of knowing the Self that is not limited to the body or any experience in it. Freedom from pain can be found within that experience and it is very empowering. We might even come to a point of witnessing in our own self how we have created the pain and what purpose it is serving in our life. That is a huge step away from being the victim to it and changes the individual experience from the inside out.

We all suffer from spiritual pain. That pain is the source for all other pain and it travels to the surface and creates any number of physical afflictions or challenging life situations. The spiritual pain is the belief in separation from the Source of All things, separation from the Ascendant Self. There is only one way to cure that and that is through directly experiencing Pure Consciousness right within us.

The Attitudes of Praise, Gratitude, Love and Compassion are great antidotes for any stress, fear and pain that one may have. They relax the body and expand the mind beyond the confines of limited beliefs in separation and pain. If pain can change the person on so many levels, it is also possible to reverse this flow. By choosing to use the mind for Ascension the body has a chance to heal and produce the hormones that alleviate pain. By using Attitudes for Ascension we focus our mind toward the Good and fear has no room to strangle us into victimhood and into the prison of pain. Our personality aligns with expansion and lightness.

Perhaps you are beginning to see how more meditation can serve a person in pain?

It does take an open mind and one that is willing to see deeper than just the surface level of physical experience. But if this resonates with you and there is pain in your life, then do not waste a moment to learn a practice that can open the inner doors of possibility and the Good will flow to you in ways that you can’t imagine.

The Matrix

The matrix movie trilogy became a phenomena at the time of its release. And I think it is because they touched on something very real about the nature of reality and perception. We live in a mind created reality that reflects our thoughts and beliefs and although it appears that we share the same reality with others, in truth we each have our own worlds based on how we perceive things to be.

We are living in a time where virtual reality games and applications are  being developed very quickly. There are more and more ways to dive into random experiences that are designed to keep the mind active and as a result of that less connected to the physicality of our human bodies.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, but there is a very real danger because of the way that our minds are conditioned to perceive reality and make the perceptions real in the first place.

Without understanding how reality is created through the mind, we are easily lost in the sea of experiences. And this is even before we step into the reality of virtuality. What we focus on grows is an accurate statement. Adding one layer of confusion on top of what is already confused creates a multidimensional challenge.

Because of this there is even more of an urgency to become aware of the inner world, the Source of it all and how thoughts flow through the mind creating the very real like experiences we have .

The scientific research shows that we use mere 5-10% of our minds. That is staggeringly low percentage. There is so much reality not being experienced because our machinery of perception is so limited by stress and limiting beliefs. Now would it not be more worthwhile to expand the capacity of the mind to experience more of life, more that potential that we have on the inside and be more in touch with the actual Reality of full human experience.

Virtual realities keep moving the awareness further out into the field of mind created illusions. Before we are too deeply invested in that (and we already are well into it with the screen culture that is all around us) there is still good time to realise what is the only real game in town. Expanding consciousness beyond the limitations of fear will give us so much more than any artificial creation of entertainment for the mind.

Do we succumb to the machine world of the matrix or do we rise beyond that and cut our connection to that which is not real. Blue pill or the red pill? Choice is the name of the game here.
