The Art of Ascension

These questions may seem intractable at first: too big to delve into and impossible to fully comprehend or experience. This is what the resistant ego self would want you to think because the answers unravel the very foundations of what the world of suffering is built from.

It does take some courage to ask these profound questions. With Ascension practice, approaching them becomes natural and effortless as you can open your awareness to direct personal connection to the answers.

Direct cognition of the deeper layers of reality can unlock our true potential. The opening of the spiritual heart brings everything together in a way nothing else can.

There may be many challenges and myriad stresses in our lives. Trying to deal with one at a time takes a lot of time and proves to be ineffective in the end. There are a few root stresses, limited beliefs, that feed the entire structure of what we believe to be our reality. 

As an example, we might believe, that we are alone, separate, surviving in a hostile world, disconnected from the inner reality of the spirit. And those beliefs become the building blocks for everything you see and experience.

At the very base level is the belief that there is something fundamentally wrong in my life. This is like the drop of ink, that colors the entire glass of water. It becomes dark and murky and clarity and purity of the water is gone although the same water still fills the glass.  

Ascension clarifies our inner world and dissolves those limited beliefs. We begin to use Praise, Gratitude, Love and Compassion as the building blocks as they truly are what the entire universe is made out of.

The answer to this question can untangle the entire mess of false beliefs we carry. The self that suffers and is a victim to the world and everything in it, is not the truth of how we are.

However, knowing the answer as an intellectual concept does not change life. It does not transform life. It gives a higher perspective of truth, but it is not yet at a level of deep conviction and direct experience. 

During the First Sphere course we talk about the Ascendant Self, the un-manifest potential, the Source of All. We point the finger to that as the truth of what we all are and what everything is made out of. There is nothing other than that.

Direct cognition of this truth can change your life and bring full consciousness to manifest through your mind and body and heart.

The answer to this follows after the cognition of truth awakens in us. The purpose of the soul is large and universal. The ego self has limited purpose and is solely directed by self-interest. 

So, the answer depends on who is asking the question. What is the depth of connection with the sprit in the individual? Are we approaching the question from the materialistic aspect of life or a deeper part of us, that is more attuned to the connection with the Source, God, consciousness, spirit, whatever name you wish to give it.

The antidote is the Art of Ascension practice. It dissolves the root causes of suffering, those limited beliefs that there is something wrong in our personal lives, something wrong in our physical world and that there is separation from the Source or God.

As the stresses dissolve, the truth of the Ascendant Self becomes more tangible and real. And as that unfolds, our ability to draw from that inner connection strengthens and we become more stable on the inside. The choice to Ascend realigns the individual with the true purpose in this life.

The antidote to suffering is here. And it is up to our application of Ascension and our desire to connect with the Spirit, that we can Ascend this level of limited experience in life.
